The World Jazz Orchestra believes that jazz is a great unifier of people. Once the downbeat is given, musicians, whatever their culture, suddenly all speak the same language - As one, they communicate at a level much deeper than words can express. We believe Jazz is the language that brings people together and binds people together.
In an effort to bring us all closer together, The World Jazz Orchestra was created at a time when a global pandemic is causing people to avoid social contact, stay in their homes and countries to close borders. The World Jazz Orchestra brings together great jazz musicians from all over the world, virtually. So we can all stay safe, but still all come together to share and enjoy the music we love.
Here's our first recording, Blue Rondo a la Turk, by the great Dave Brubeck, arranged by Christopher Crenshaw.
